hearth / home

I built my first fire of the season. Oh, how I love everything about it, the smell, the glow and sparkle, the crackle, the warmth - it mesmerizes me. Problem is I can't leave it's warmth. Does that happen to you?
I think the first thing Taylor will think when she walks in the house tomorrow is, "oh I miss that smell - this is home" / maybe this weekend we can do another crazy photo shoot like we did last year - remember collecting all those leaves and making this rug to go under my crazy blue chair? you didn't throw away my chair did you?

I love that you would spend a weekend gathering leaves to make a rug under a blue chair. I hope I will always be so supportive of my daughter's interests.

They are predicting rain all this weekend. I am disappointed because I was hoping to rake the leaves and take photos of them. Photography as encouragement for chores? There's an idea!

What a lovely blog, and such a neat idea. I would love to have something like this with my mother.

I'm off to go read some past entries. :)

Thank you for the well wishes on my blog! It's kinda scary to actually say it outloud.

I appreciate it. :)

what a great blog idea!

I have never built a fire in my fireplace (any of them). At least now I have candles in the fireplace and light them. It's a start, right!

I love the red carpet. :)
