day 25 - breakfast

L - iphone (bottom left) / T - iphone (top right)

Breakfast together. Taylor made chocolate chip scones - so delicious. It was a brief weekend visit but we had so much fun just enjoying the beautiful spring weather - moving from indoors to the warmth of the sun on the deck and then following the sun down to the firepit, continuing our talks.

day 24 - an animal

L - iphone / T - iphone

Well we weren't very clever with this prompt for sure but it was a weekend of the animals - the dogs. Daisy had so much fun being outdoors all weekend long. With her new wireless collar she is free to roam around our big yard - roll in the cool green grass, romp through the ivy and forage around the firepit for the best charcoaled sticks. (does anyone know why dogs enjoy this? both daisy and evee loved picking charcoal bits out of the firepit and eating them)

day 17 - green (of course)

L - iphone / T- iphone

Funny that we both shot looking down - and chose nature's green to photograph.
It was a perfectly beautiful spring day today. I couldn't resist buying a few plants when I went to purchase the cedar chips for my walkways. Did you set out new spring plants this weekend?

day 16 - sunglasses

L - iphone / T- iphone

The sun is bright today - perfect day for shades.

day 14 - clouds

L - iphone / T - iphone

We had lunch together and brainstormed on her fairytale story she is choosing to write for her children's literature class. I went back to work and she took Daisy to the dog park. Not even the first day of spring yet and the temperatures are like summer - 80ยบ today.

day 13 - sign

L - iphone / T - iphone (portion of a piece at Lamar Dodd Art school)

day 9 - red

L - iphone/ T- iphone

Do you think I might like red just a little?
Taylor had to go stand out on the corner in a full body dog suit to bring business in to Petland. I think she sort of enjoyed being in disguise for a time.

day 6 - 5PM

L - iphone / T - iphone

Just after 5 o'clock and still at work, of course, but look at how light it is outside. Can you believe it's almost time to set the clocks back an hour? I do love the lighter evenings, but it will be hard to get up in the morning for a few days. / 5 o'clock shadows. at the dog park with daisy.

day 5 - smile

L - Nikon / T - iphone

Or reasons to smile. Spring is almost here. / presents in the mail. ( i received the cutest present from my cousin. She knitted me some hand warmers and presented them on hand decorated hand forms and drew this adorable little fox for my card. she is the most thoughtful little girl i have ever known)

I have to show you the whole package. Check out the little fox on one hand and the adorable little hedgehog on the other. And isn't that a fine job of knitting for an 11 year old? - L

day 3 - neighborhood

L - iphone / T - iphone

I think she's right, some photos don't lend themselves to being cropped so narrow. But what do you think - which format is best?
Notice the Bradford Pear trees are in bloom already. Last week the highs were in the mid 70s, tomorrow we're supposed to have a freeze warning - I think it's only the second one we've had this winter.

Saturday, March 3, 2012

day two - fruit

L - iphone / T- iphone

I might have to switch this format. Taylor doesn't much like the cropping offered with pic stitch. I like the ease of it but we'll see.

day one - up

L - iphone / T - iphone

Taylor and I are starting a new way of posting. We will be using a daily word prompt from a source she found and post our photos using the iphone app "pic stitch". She used a word prompt for the month of February and didn't miss a day so she thought maybe this would help us for our blog. It should be interesting to see our different takes on simple prompts. We'll give it a shot.
