balmy / gentle

Is this really the middle of December? Here in Atlanta you would think it's the middle of June. 70º on a December night! I know a lot of you are having snow and VERY cold temperatures. Can't say I'm jealous of the ones having temps in the single digits and struggling with the iced streets and such, but I do think it would be nice to have a white Christmas. I know that's not happening here, but how about cold winter evenings were you can enjoy a fire in the fireplace and cuddle up with hot cocoa? It is starting to look like Christmas even if it doesn't feel like it outside - T and I decorated the tree tonight and it's very pretty / it's nice to be woken up by something other than your phone's alarm clock and obnoxious ring tone. i have missed having kodi come into my room and nudge me awake. it's a much gentler approach - a tap of her paw on my face, sometimes a rough kiss - still better than the alarm. other perks of being home include the extra space of a full sized bed, actual water pressure, real food, and OF COURSE - being with my family and friends that mean so much to me [:

listening to: "The Winter Song" by Eisley

Walking home with the
Snow it is falling down
Passing by lit windows
The people inside they wave from the glow

Chimney smoke billowing
Snowflakes on my lashes
Oh, starry night
I was walking and singing this song

La la la la...

Singing la la la la...

It's that day again
It's that time of year
With our smiling faces
We will sing with cheer

La la la la...

I would really like some cold weather - it's about the same temp here. I'm glad we don't have ice, but I would at least like it to be chilly :)

I've had the windows open today too - it seems we can't decide if it's winter yet either. I hope it's pretty tomorrow though, I need to take some photographs.

Kodi is more gentle than Sloane cat, Gopti. If I don't get up when she thinks I should she walks all over my head. Ouch!

You know you could get hurt announcing weather like that. You do know that some of us are living with below 0* weather. =]
