The weekend was like a beautiful day in April.

"The sun was warm but the wind was chill.
You know how it is with an April day.
When the sun is out and the wind is still,
You're one month on in the middle of May.
But if you so much as dare to speak,
a cloud come over the sunlit arch,
And wind comes off a frozen peak,
And you're two months back in the middle of March."
- Robert Frost, Two Tramps in Mud Time, 1926

The heart-shaped "wound" in the tree ... the poem ... they all say so much.

Lovely post, I always enjoy finding surprises like the one on the tree. I stay in touch with Atlanta through the AJC and follow the weather. It looked as if you almost had a heat wave over the weekend. Lucky you!

OH, Robert Frost describes it so perfectly, doesn't he? WOW!!! Love his words as an illustration to another wonderful combo.
