repose
solo post - L
I had a relaxing weekend visiting with my brother in B'ham. The weather could not have been more ideal for a weekend of outdoor activities. No, we didn't work in the garden like we had planned. We put the wheelbarrows aside and went walking through someone else's gardens – the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. We also went to one of the largest art festivals B'ham has – Magic City Art Festival. So much to marvel at. At the festival we saw works of art created by the hands of talented artist and at the gardens, flowers and plants with details so tiny and perfect that only God could have created such magnificence. There was art I coveted for my walls, as well as plants I desired for my garden. I came home with ideas.
What did you marvel at this weekend?
meaning of flowers: white poppy - sleep, rest
Sorry T has been absent. The year is almost over for her and she's been busy with final projects.

if you saw these poppies - you were in my favorite small section of the garden. many shots I have taken there. I also love the wheelbarrows. gorgeous. you have to get him to take you to petals from the past in jemison - I was in heaven.
Sounds like a wonderful way to spend a weekend. What did I marvel at? How spring can suddenly feel like fall and yet, while I love fall, in April it doesn't move me to wax poetic about it. But the fire was nice.
perfect.
beautiful.
sounds like a lovely weekend.
Your photos are great today! That sounds like a wonderful weekend. I haven't been to an art festival in so long. Wow, T's year is ending already? Time goes by way too quickly. My youngest son just figured out last night that they have 37 actual school days left.
twin wheelbarrows and a great day! lucky you.
T~good luck on the year end projects/finals!
colors in the garden & around the town ...nice way to spend a weekend!
Oh I love this little di. So perfect the colors of the wheelbarrows and the poppies. Which I love those flowers BTW.
Great pix...calming! Glad you have a lovely weekend!
Wheelbarrows are some of my favourite garden objects! When in Mozambique last year, I used them as chairs during lunch hour on the building site.
I was inspired by the beauty of Dublin's river and quaintness this past weekend. The colours that I discovered there spoke of nature's palette.
That wheelbarrow picture!!!!!!!!
Sigh...
Sigh...
I wanna go with you next year to the Magic City Art Festival. Wanna? Maybe Char can meet us there.
