blossomed / evolved

Just last weekend the sun was shining and the temperatures where warm - the trees and plants felt it was time to spring forth and blossom. This weekend the temperatures are going to dip into the low 20s. I sure hope it doesn't kill all the tender developing buds and what has already blossomed. (weird, I didn't realize until after I posted this that the corresponding post is so similar and I didn't plan it that way) / i'm really happy with the way this project has turned out! i determined that my faucet looked like a reindeer, or more specifically the dog from the grinch, so i decided i would mount it like a trophy. i found some twine lying around the art school and used that to give the metal some texture, found some forks to make parts of the antlers and the hooves at the bottom, and mounted it to a piece of wood. i like the graphic look of it and the way the paint on the twine looks. we have critique tomorrow, so wish me luck!

Such beautiful forsythia. My daughter and I were looking at ours today. It won't flower here until May. Sigh. Hope those sweet buds can withstand the cold.

Wow! It does look like the dog from the grinch! Good luck!

ha! so cool the way you two make complimentary selections for posting :) and i made the comment above before i read your post leslye. so i guess you two are telepathically genetically connected in such a way as to be seeing similar patterns in your artistic minds. and taylor i loved the art piece the moment i saw it this morning :) very creative rethinking of your plan.

I noticed the similarities in form almost instantly, that's awesome! Our weather has taken a downturn as well.....I was hoping to see some crocus soon! Hope your tender buds survive :)

Good luck, T. I'm sure you'll do well as it was very imaginative!

Very cool how in synch y'all are, and very cool that two such disparate things could look so much alike. Love it.

Cool. YOu two must be very linked. It's completely striking how similar the construct of these two things are. One flower, one made. cool...

I'm finding this is happening more and more with margie and I, we get on the same wavelength and post similar things .... it's a bit eery. Taylor, that is fantastic!
