left behind
solo post - L
She left a few things behind - shoes on the steps, some laundry in the basket but more importantly these cameras that she'll need. She's finally getting to start her photography classes this fall and I know she is excited about that. So the good thing about it is... she'll be back this weekend. And then there's Labor Day – maybe we'll go to the beach. Summer went by so quickly. It seems just yesterday that she was walking through the door with all that stuff and now stepping in her room there's an echoing sound of emptiness. I'm glad she left these things behind. The gently moving out is so much easier to take.

Oh, Leslye, this brought tears to my eyes. I'm sending hugs through the internet.
I feel the love through your words.
i am a few short weeks away from delivering youngest son back to university. he came home this summer so much older and wiser. my little boy disappearing into a man.
Oh. Oh, I am thinking of you. Wishing for you lots of phone conversations and many happy things to fill your time, till Taylor fills the house again.
i know ...i care...i will be singing this
song in a week..sigh
this somehow breaks my heart. my mom is here for another two weeks and time is simply moving too quickly.
Can't be. That summer was painfully short. And yet here, ohhh, the black and white, such an impact.
I know how you feel....my daughter, Ashley is leaving on the 31st for Paris. My heartstrings are tugging already!
Big hugs coming your way, she'll be back before you know it.
xo
as far as i can recall, this is the first black and white photos i've see from you. these are so nice. standing alone as photos and what they represent. makes me think of the s.s. post today.
i've been fortunate to spend the last two thursdays with my mom and have been enjoying it immensely. i plan to make it a weekly tradition and take advantage of the fact that we are both unemployed. i've always been a daddy's girl, so to have this time in this new chapter of life to spend with my mom and get to know her better is a cherished gift.
missing your blog and hoping to get back to it more regularly very soon.
hugs to you, l.
