start / end

solo post - L

I start my day, most days, with a bowl of oatmeal. I remember to brush my teeth, to feed the cat, to take the dog out, to lock the door. Why can't I remember to take my one-a-day? It promises to give me more energy, keep me mentally alert and make my bones strong – to get me through to the end of the day. Maybe I chose the wrong one. Perhaps the one-a-day for 50+ with ginkgo for memory is the one I need. Do you take something for energy or memory that really seems to work? I was told recently at the fresh market that bee pollen gives you energy. Has anyone ever tried that?

I don't take anything because I can't remember to either. I think my cupboard is full of un-used supplements. lol What gives me energy is making sure to consume enough water in a day, getting plenty of exercise and a decent nights sleep.

PS
lol, I just left a comment on your post from 2008 wishing you luck on your Up-coming show!

i don't take anything, but i should. my memory is getting worse all the time.

i have not heard that bee pollen {honey} helps with memory, but that it helps you become immune to allergies. maybe they are related??

I don't take anything to help with memory but I do leave the vitamins right by the coffee machine. I never forget to have a cup of coffee. I still only take them about 50% of the time!

I don't take any vitamins. Every time I have tried, they seem to bother my stomach. I've heard of eating blueberries for memory. Never heard of taking bee pollen. I looked it up and saw a warning about possible serious side effects (anaphylaxis) for people that are allergic to pollen. Be careful if you try it.

I take all my vitamins and supplements at night. I know it's not the best time but like Gayle, they bother my stomach if taken in the morning.

I have two perscription allergy medications I have to take every day. I get really sick without them. I still never remember them. Jeffrey does. DUH. Loved these two pictures. Especially the shoes.

love the shots and the sentiment - I do the same thing about forgetting my vitamins but what I finally did was put them on my bedside table so I take them each night before I go to sleep. maybe that would help. :)

It was weird. I almost passed out today. My employer asked me if I'd eaten yet today. I said, Yes, I had cake for breakfast.

I do not reccomend cake for breakfast.

If you find a vitamin that works, let me know! Really. I'm hopeless. Coffee gets me through and I'm pretty sure there is nothing of value there.

You just reminded me that I haven't taken my prenatal vitamin today! ha ha. I have such a hard time remembering too, even though I leave them right on the counter in plain sight!! I stopped taking anything extra other than a multi-vitamin a long time ago. It just all got to be too much. What gave me energy was quitting my full-time job! ha.

Do you mean Fresh Market in Bogart? I love that little place and I go there every week!!

Thank you for your encouragement and note on my blog. I'm sorry you couldn't make it to Heritage Day because I would have loved to meet you in person. Maybe another time.

I did not order the book through Blurb, so I'm just selling them myself. I have a page on my website about it. Here's a link, if you'd like to read about it. Thank you!

I'm not sure that link worked. But if you go to my photo site, you should be able to find the info.

Don't you hate it when you can't remember whether you took it that morning or not?!?!
Drives me batty!
It becomes so routine, that sometimes I just can't remember if it was this morning or yesterday morning that I took my last dose.
(Am I alone in this?)
