dignity / inelegant

L - Nikon / T - phone pic

In the language of flowers, the magnolia blossom is symbolic of dignity. But in this heat it's having a hard time living up to it's reputation. We've had little, to no, rain and the flowers are suffering. But it looks like we might get some needed rain this weekend. / bunny is hot and lazy in the non air-conditioned heat of my apartment - keeps her out of trouble.

"What dreadful hot weather we have! It keeps me in a continual state of inelegance."
-- Jane Austen

Find a place in the shade and breath in the summer scents. What's one of your favorite summer scents? The sweet fragrance of gardenias in the evening breeze is one of mine.
Enjoy the weekend!

For me, it would have to be honeysuckle. In one whiff, I am back in my childhood with my brothers and sisters, and all is well.

Thanks for stopping by today. It meant a lot. xo

Love the quote ... it's so perfect for the hot sweaty mess I feel like right now. As pretty as blue skies are, I miss the more moderate temperatures of Cornwall.

I LOVE these images together! Perfect! And perfect hot weather quote, as illustrated by Bunny. This just makes me happy! Summer scents? Hmmmmm . . . everything is so hot here . . . honeysuckle and magnolia are always in the yard, but there is a night here & there when the night blooming cereus blooms, and i think i will say that - the flowers & scent are both magic.

:) xoxo

I like the scent of honeysuckle and magnolia too... like many of your readers... but mine are the English Austen scents ;)
Summer will fade all too soon...
