sunny

solo post - L

I didn't get a whole lot accomplished today but I had a sunny day despite the gray outside. I went to the market to buy fruits and these sunny flowers to use for painting a tomorrow. And I did a little baking - inspired by Soul Aperture. Mine didn't turn out as pretty as Christina's, and probably not as delicious because I didn't make the crust from scratch, but it did taste rather good with my cup of coffee tonight regardless.
Now let's hope I keep my inspiration and actually start that painting tomorrow.

towards the sun / to the moon

"I don't think there's anything on this planet that more trumpets life than the sunflower. For me that's because of the reason behind its name. Not because it looks like the sun but because it follows the sun. During the course of the day, the head tracks the journey of the sun across the sky. A satellite dish for sunshine. Wherever light is, no matter how weak, these flowers will find it. And that's such an admirable thing. And such a lesson in life." - Chris's (Helen Mirren) comment in the movie, Calendar Girls / Sorry for not sending a new photo tonight but I thought this one would be appropriate. Remember this great jack-o-lantern Zach and I carved - Fly Me To The Moon. We did such an awesome job.

sunflowers - her favorite / light and shadow

I went to Trader Joes today - they still don't have our favorite hummus dip or the frozen mangos. I'm so disappointed / drawing subject matter and then to feed the monkey
