observing / watching

L - iphone / T- iphone

Daisy loves to stand at the window and observe. She sees the hummingbirds fight to get to the feeder and a squirrel chase his brother up the tree, at night she spots the little rabbit nibbling on grass. But she's good, she doesn't bark at them or get excited she just watches quietly. But when her master drives up the driveway there's lots of excitement. Her tail whips around smacking poor Evee right across the eyes - she runs around like a crazy dog, the cats take cover, there's lots of commotion. It's a crazy household with 4 animals in it... / my main girl sees me off to my first day at work.

day 24 - an animal

L - iphone / T - iphone

Well we weren't very clever with this prompt for sure but it was a weekend of the animals - the dogs. Daisy had so much fun being outdoors all weekend long. With her new wireless collar she is free to roam around our big yard - roll in the cool green grass, romp through the ivy and forage around the firepit for the best charcoaled sticks. (does anyone know why dogs enjoy this? both daisy and evee loved picking charcoal bits out of the firepit and eating them)

day 6 - 5PM

L - iphone / T - iphone

Just after 5 o'clock and still at work, of course, but look at how light it is outside. Can you believe it's almost time to set the clocks back an hour? I do love the lighter evenings, but it will be hard to get up in the morning for a few days. / 5 o'clock shadows. at the dog park with daisy.

to stay warm / snuggle

L - iphone / T - Nikon

Seems the only photos we have lately is either knitting, skies, dogs, or cats. That's sad. We need to get out more.
I was excited that this year I finally learned how to knit. I can make myself cute scarves and hats to stay warm - and I made several. Yet, I never even got a chance to wear them. I even made a scarf and hat for Keith's birthday in March. Maybe we'll still find a place visit in the snow before winter truly turns to spring.
I love this photo Taylor took of Daisy and Bunny. She is so happy that they like to snuggle in the same bed. It's so cute to see them both sleeping there together.

(did I ever even tell you my fiance's name? - it's Keith ;)

spring / winter

L - Nikon / T - iphone

daisy saw her shadow.

and so did the famous Punxsutawney Phil- saying we'll have 6 more weeks of winter. That's fine with me - doesn't seem like we've had one week of real winter here in the south. The birds have been singing like it's spring time. And I've seen spring flowers popping up. So I'm not so sure mr. groundhog is correct this time - after all he's only had a 39% accuracy rate. What do you think?

hello / friends

L - Nikon / T -iphone

Sorry I have been so absent. I hope you will forgive me.

(I really like this photo Taylor sent me. I love the light; the way her new dog seems to be making friends with her cat; and seeing the portrait she did this summer in the background)

summer / everything's coming up daisies

solo post  but with her image, L - Nikon / T - Nikon

The other day I told you that T asked me to get her permission before posting an image from our photo shoot. Well out of all of them, she approved this one and 2 others – all in the series with the daisies. I love them. She took the photo of the daisies then she went to pick one and put it in her hair – I snapped some photos. Doesn't it say summer – a sundress and a daisies? For me the flower that epitomizes summer is a daisy – their sunny center and pure white petals dancing in the breeze speak of freshness and a free-spirit. Remember the innocent game as a young girl? summer love at camp - he loves me, he loves me not... Well she's no longer the innocent age of twelve but she does have a free spirit that can be refreshing. / these are not her words but what we remembered together.  The last time we were here was to shoot photos for our friend's music CD. The concept included an umbrella. We were getting some great photos, cool shadow images on the white wall and then I saw it – a drawing on the concrete. The drawing was of an umbrella and childlike sun. There happened to be a puddle and some leaves, too. What a fluke! T shot a photo and we used it in the CD package.
